Port Angeles, Washington
The 4th Annual Klallam Earth Day will be
April 19, 2014
Our 3rd Annual Earth Day cleanup and celebration, held on April 20, 2013,
was a great success! Thank you to everyone who was involved.
Mother Earth was very happy to receive our special TLC!
4,200 pounds to the Transfer Station
65 pounds of aluminum cans
90 gallons of hard foam
500 pounds of steel
100 gallons of plastic
10 gallons of glass
Our running total is 12,460 pounds since 2011
One Team's Experience:
We took in 1,680 pounds just from the Pysht River Conservation Area!!! Including 6 of the 10 tires, plus an engine block that was probably a huge chunk of the recycled metal. Our volunteer day was super successful, and has made the Conservation Area even more beautiful for the public to use. We are proud to have this property open for public use and enjoyment :)
